Join the OPC Foundation and MTConnect Institute for a webinar to introduce “OPC Unified Architecture for MTConnect Companion Specification Release Candidate (RC) 2.0.5” and its first test implementation. The document is an overhaul and comprehensive rewrite of RC 1.0.2 (2013) that incorporates current features and functions of MTConnect and OPC UA. RC 2.0.4 was developed in a joint working group of the OPC Foundation and MTConnect Institute based on current OPC Foundation companion specification templates. One test implementation is complete, and more are in development. This webinar will provide an overview of features and functions, basic implementation guidance, and business cases for standards harmonization and standards-based approaches to factory floor data collection and management.
